Neatishead and Barton and Irstead Parish Councils were approached by the committee of the New Victory Hall with a view to the councils funding a wheelchair access path across the New Victory Hall car park.  Barton and Irstead Parish Council suggested that Neatishead Council should be the leader of the project as it was decided that the path would also cross Neatishead Parish Car Park as well.  As the cost was well in excess of funds available, Neatishead Parish Council decided to apply for a grant from the National Lottery Big Fund and in August 2010 had the news that they had been successful in their application for a grant of £2251 to install a pathway across both car parks.
