Road Safety Community Fund

Neatishead Parish Council’s intend to apply for the available Road Safety Community Fund. Our proposal must be submitted by 25th November 2022 and initial discussions of supporting information to include in the proposal have started. Please see below for further information from Cllr Richard Price, Norfolk County Councilor for South Smallburgh, who is responsible for the management of this fund for his 13 Parishes.

It is intended to use evidence of the communities wishes, supported by information collected from the SAM2 camera to strengthen the Parish Council’s application for funding. There have been discussions at Parish Council meetings regarding the desired outcome of achieving a 20mph speed limit in the village, however this is expensive and takes around 9-12 months to complete, although these challenges are not impossible to overcome. Other road safety initiatives that could be paid for with the funding are detailed in Cllr Richard Price’s information available on our website.

If you would like to support this application your ideas and thoughts are welcome to be emailed to the Parish Clerk  or you are invited to attend the monthly meetings.
